Pauline Talty Get's the "Green Light"!

Transplant Australia is pleased that the Australian Government has given the green light for Pauline Talty to travel to USA in hope of receiving a life saving Small Bowel Transplant. The Australian Government this week approved Pauline’s appeal to receive a government subsidy under the Medical Treatment Overseas Program after initial applications were denied. Transplant Australia will continue to work closely with the Talty family to help with the next stage of her transplant journey.

Pauline has highlighted Australia’s need to develop a much needed centre of excellence in Small Bowel Transplantation at the Austin Hospital, Melbourne. Transplant Australia is committed to continue to advocate this important health initiative to help people like Pauline to access this life saving operation, on Australian shores.
