The 6th Winter World Transplant Games 2008, will be held in Rovaniemi, Finland from the 26 to 31 March 2008The Finnish Transplant Sports Association will host the Winter World Transplant Games for 2008. The games will be held in Rovaniemi, Finland 26th to 31st March 2008 and will include the Nicholas Cup event for children.
The location for the Games is only kilometres away from the Arctic Circle in the deep of Lapland! Rovaniemi, the capital of Lapland, is an international town of winter sports and is located at the confluence of Lapland's mighty rivers Kemijoki and Ounasjoki. As the capital of the province, Rovaniemi has always been a gateway to Lapland.
Rovaniemi provides versatile sports, educational and cultural facilities. The surroundings of Ounasvaara, provides a wide range of winter sport opportunities and within 10 kilometers from the city centre you can find undisturbed nature or a busy international airport.

Registration for the Winter Games and Nicholas Cup will be out May/June this year. There may be some financial assistance with accommodation for a small number of children attending the Nichols Cup. However this will be on a pro rata basis depending on how many countries enter. Final prices of these Games should be announced in February 2007 as meetings took place late January.
