Ray Slattery - Heart recipient

Sadly Ray Slattery passed away in June 2003. Ray was a heart transplant recipient and an integral member of Transplant Australia.

Ray was Australia's oldest recipient to receive a heart and appreciated the 7 valuable years added to his life that he would otherwise have missed.

He was responsible for organising the Athletics at the Sydney World Transplant Games in 1997 and also at the Wollongong (2000) and Gold Coast (2002) Australia Transplant Games. His skills in this area and his love of working with junior recipients in the area of athletics, will be greatly missed.

He is greatly missed by all and our thoughts are with his family and friends.
