Fundraising to Get to The Games
The following documents outline a number of options that are available for athletes and supports seeking funding to attend the Games.
Every Day Hero Program
We are very conscious of the cost of attending the Games for both athletes and supporters.
That’s why we are pleased to announce a new partnership with the online fundraising website everydayhero.com.au
This facility will allow athletes, carers and supporters to raise much needed funds to attend the Games and promote donation.
In just minutes you can build your own page and encourage family, friends and work colleagues to support you and Transplant Australia.
Usually the full donation goes towards your nominated charity however we have arranged for 50% of donations to be credited to
your games account held here while the remainder will help us stage the event. We are also covering the administration cost of this system.
The advantage of Every Day Hero is that you can easily encourage your work and social networks to support you and all
donations are a fully tax deductible. You can build a profile, email a note to let people know about your page, and family
and friends can post their support on your page knowing that even a small contribution will help. Check out our event page at http://www.everydayhero.com.au/event/worldtransplantgames09
If you have any problems or questions, or would like the everydayhero.com.au team to help you create a fundraising page,
please call 1300 798 768 during normal business hours.
